Kim Goes Shopping With Her Daughter
Saturday, January 22nd, 2011Jenny was only five years old, but she enjoyed shopping with her mom. The problem for her mom was that she was at the why stage of questions and those questions came about any object at all. She knew that by taking her shopping she would be answering even more questions than what she thought, but it was questions that would be useful for her during school for her.

Finally she Jenny spotted a skillet and decided that it would be a great question to ask why they were used. Kim looked at her kind of puzzled because she helped her cook dinner almost every night, but decided that it would be good to answer anyways.

Kim decided that the clothing section would be a bad part to go into because of the questions that could come up. However, she knew that it would be a little bit longer to walk around, but that was fine because her and her daughter both needed the exercise.

One of the first items that little Jenny seen was some of the reusable bags hanging on the end of the aisle. She looked at her mom, Kim, and asked why people would use those. Kim thought about the answer for a second and replied saying that some people use those to help save the environment since they would not have to worry about the production energy being consumed and that some stores would offer a discount to people for using them.

Jenny appeared to be satisfied with that answer and moved onto the next section of the store. The jewelry section was full of interesting items and Jenny seen one that she had to ask about and that was the lovely crystal necklace. She knew that it was meant for wearing, but she wanted to know what made it so special of an item. Kim did not really have an answer for that, but knew that she would be happy by knowing that it was meant for people to wear and look beautiful with.

Leaving the checkout lane Jenny looked at her mom and asked why they were using the plastic bag to carry things in rather than the reusable ones. Her mom thought on that question for a second and tried to come up with a reply. However, she was at a loss as to what to tell her. Finally she told her that they did not have any of the other ones to use right then.

Walking to the car Jenny knew that her mom was smart, but she was smarter because she was going to get the items to help save the planet. The problem was with all the items that were so beautiful she was not sure which one of them she would purchase.
